Email address. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address through our newsletter provider (Beehiiv). We do not store email addresses on our own servers.
Usage data. Like most websites, we may collect standard server log information — your IP address, browser type, referring URL, and pages visited — through our hosting provider (Netlify). We also use Google Analytics to understand site traffic at an aggregate level.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not collect sensitive information such as financial data, government ID numbers, or health information.

Your email address is used solely to send you The Polling Wire Daily newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link at the bottom of any newsletter email. We do not use your email for advertising, resale, or any purpose other than the newsletter you subscribed to.
Aggregate usage data helps us understand which content is most valuable and how to improve the site. We do not use this data to build individual user profiles.

Newsletter subscriptions are maintained by Beehiiv. You may unsubscribe and request deletion of your data at any time. Server log data is retained by Netlify per their standard retention policy. We do not retain personal data beyond what is necessary for the services described above.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you by contacting us at tips@pollingwire.com. If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have additional rights under GDPR. If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA.
Children's Privacy
The Polling Wire is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at tips@pollingwire.com and we will promptly delete it.
