About The Polling Wire

We believe everyone deserves access to clean, honest polling data — presented without spin, without agenda, and without noise.

Who We Are

The Polling Wire is built and managed by a team of political data consultants and pollsters with decades of combined experience in survey methodology, electoral analysis, and campaign research. Our team has designed, fielded, and analyzed polling for campaigns, advocacy organizations, and media outlets across federal, state, and local races.

We know what makes a poll credible — and what doesn't. That expertise informs every editorial decision we make: which polls to include, how to contextualize results, and when to flag methodological concerns. When we publish a number, we have read the crosstabs.

Our Mission

The Polling Wire was built to solve a simple problem: polling data is everywhere, but meaningful context is rare. Polls get released daily — from Gallup, Quinnipiac, Pew, state university pollsters, and dozens of others — and most of that data either gets ignored or filtered through partisan lenses before it reaches you.

We aggregate every major public poll, present the numbers as they are, note the sourcing, and let you draw your own conclusions. No predictions disguised as analysis. No party preferences baked into the framing. Just data.

📊

Data First

We present numbers before any interpretation. Raw results, sample sizes, and margins of error are always front and center.

⚖️

Non-Partisan

We do not editorialize, endorse candidates, or weight coverage to favor any party. Good polling data speaks for itself.

🔍

Fully Sourced

Every number on this site is tied to a named pollster and a specific release date. No unnamed sources. No vague "recent polls show."

Methodology

The Polling Wire tracks polls released by established, publicly recognized polling organizations. We do not aggregate partisan push polls, internal campaign polls released without methodology, or online opt-in panels without disclosed weighting procedures.

For each poll we publish: the pollster name, field dates, sample size and composition (adults, registered voters, or likely voters), margin of error, and full topline results. Averages displayed in our Senate Tracker and Generic Ballot gauge represent a simple mean of the most recent polls from distinct pollsters within the past 30 days. We do not apply house-effect adjustments, partisan ratings, or predictive modeling — we are an aggregator, not a forecaster.

What We Cover

Core coverage: presidential job approval, the generic congressional ballot, competitive Senate and House races, and issue-based polling on the economy, healthcare, immigration, and foreign policy. We do not cover internal campaign polling, advocacy organization polling, or polls sponsored by political action committees.

The Newsletter

The Polling Wire Daily is our flagship free newsletter, sent every weekday morning. Each edition covers every notable new poll released in the past 24 hours — the top-line numbers and brief factual context, like where a result sits relative to historical averages. No opinion columns. No predictions. A pure data product.
